You are always going to need appliances in your home. Things like stoves, refrigerators, and microwaves help improve your quality of life. However, some appliance brands are better regarded than others. Certain brands make superior products that will last you a longer time.

There are ways to finance an appliance if you don’t have the resources to pay cash for it all at once. Before you look into those options, though, you should know which appliance brands enjoy the best reputation. We’ll talk about some of them right now.

1. LG

Over the past couple of decades, LG has become a prominent player in the home appliance scene. They make refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and more.

This brand wins major points with consumers for having appliances at several price points. You can get basic ones or fancier options. LG is known for having innovative features, such as the ability to see inside your fridge without opening the door.

They’re available both in stores and online. The products are well-designed and stand the test of time. If you want one of the “smart” appliances they sell, though, be ready to pay significantly more than you would for the base models.

2. Whirlpool

You have likely heard of the Whirlpool appliance brand as well. Their products are durable, and they also have energy-efficient designs that are good for the environment and will save you cash on your energy bills each year.

Whirlpool is probably your go-to option if you want value from your appliances. This brand doesn’t feature the innovations that LG does. Also, you can expect a warranty of just one year with most of their products, which isn’t great.

If you want a better warranty with a Whirlpool product, you can sometimes get one if you buy one of their appliances with the right credit card. For instance, if you have an Amex Platinum card and buy a Whirlpool product with it, that automatically doubles the warranty to two years.

3. Bosch

Bosch is one of the more high-end appliance companies out there. Their products feature innovative features you won’t find with some other brands. You can get one of their dishwashers that automatically triggers the door to release following a wash cycle to let moisture out.

The only negative is that you’re probably paying more for these features. The average Bosch appliance will set you back more than an option from Whirlpool or Maytag.

4. Maytag

Maytag has been around for quite some time. It’s actually one of America’s oldest appliance companies. The chances are high that your parents and grandparents used some of their products.

They feature modest pricing options and durable designs. If you like, you can get an entire household set of Maytag products, including washers and dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, gas ranges, and microwaves.

Maytag lacks many of the premium features of some of the more innovative appliance companies. You might also find that their models have limited customization options.

This might be the choice for a first-time homeowner who wants reliable appliances but doesn’t have the money to get the most high-end options with many customizations and extra features.

Which One of These is for You?

You can’t go wrong with the brands we’ve mentioned, but you should take the time to consider what you’re looking for from your appliances before settling on one. Maytag has modest pricing but few premium features. Bosch products have more features, but they start at a higher price point.

Whirlpool has durable, energy-saving products, but a less-than-great warranty. LG has several price points, so you can get a base model or pay more for one of their “smart” appliances.

Think about what matters to you most as a consumer, then make your selection based on that.
